Andis was teaching a course. Fizza enrolled in it. That is where they met. The romance came after her graduation, which is exactly how it should work.
Fizza on Andis: caring, generous, funny, intelligent, and tall. Andis on Fizza: her humour, and her unique blend of seriousness and wackiness. Those descriptions alone tell you why it worked.
Their wedding was two days. The first was a Pakistani henna party. Colour everywhere. Music, dance, and tradition filling the room in a way that was completely alive. Then the second day shifted. Softer. The two of them at Nissi Beach Resort in Ayia Napa, surrounded by palm trees and vibrant florals, the sea just there.
Watching those two days back to back, you understand something about both of them. The celebration that came with Fizza’s family, and the day that became theirs together.
They had been dreaming of travelling through Southeast Asia together. I like to think they made it.
